VizioPark Installation
This application indicates whether a parking spot is occupied or not. The goal is to ensure the full visibility of the vehicle parked in each spot.
Suitable Installation
The ideal situation is to:
- have a camera installed above 5 meters in a central location to ensure that all vehicles are visible from the front or top view.
- have the detection box that encloses the vehicle covering only one spot.

Common Misplacements
Sky/Sun Issue
Avoid excessive sky in the view and direct sunlight.

Height Issues

Too High: We should avoid the installation where the camera is too high and far from the targeted area.

Too Low: Avoid placement at a low height as any vehicle could hide the spots that need to be monitored.

Perspective/Side Issue
Avoid having a row of vehicles seen from their side or oriented too much in perspective as much as possible.

Blind Spots
In views where the camera is positioned lower and some spots are located to the side, the size of vehicles can impact the visibility of certain areas. In this configuration, there are times when some spots become blind spots, where neither a human nor the AI model can determine their status.
Here the large van parked in spot 2013 makes spot 2014 a blind spot.
Here the large van parked in spot 201 also makes spot 200 a blind spot.
Passing Vehicle Issue
Avoid placing the camera behind a road where vehicles can block the view, as a passing truck or one that stops for a certain period can hide several spots completely.

No Clear Marker Issue
Ensure floor markings are clearly visible. These markers typically designate individual parking spaces. Proper visibility of these markers is fundamental for the system's accuracy and reliability since each vehicle will be parked in the corresponding spot.

Seasonality (Trees)
It is essential to consider the seasonal variations of the trees while selecting a spot for monitoring. During different seasons, trees undergo various transformations that can impact visibility. In the spring and summer, trees are typically lush with dense foliage, which might obstruct the view of parking spots while in autumn and winter, trees shed their leaves, potentially offering a clearer view of the parking spot.

Darkness Issue
Even if the system can detect vehicles in low light conditions, a minimum level of lighting should still be available on-site to ensure the system's accuracy.

Missing Initial Schema Plan
Improper orientation may include unnecessary areas or miss key spots. Here we only monitor the right section of the parking lot, but the camera orientation was set to cover additional spots without realizing that spot 219 is not fully visible.

Changing Config Without Notification
The integrator should configure the parking lot indicating all the spots that need to be monitored and assign labels to them.
Any change in configuration must be communicated to the Viziosense audit team, as they will update the original configuration to ensure optimal system performance.
In the presence of perspective, for example, the label of a spot is placed outside the area of the spot, which could be confusing for the integrator but is required for the system to work correctly.
